God shares his life by the gift of grace in the sacraments.
In the depths of every human heart is the common desire to experience deep, abiding happiness. Our first parents were given everything they needed to experience that and live abundant lives. Through Jesus Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and founding of the Church, all of humanity is invited back into this friendship with God.
God is the best gift-giver; he knows intimately the interests and longings of his people. The gift of divine life is communicated through the sacraments; they are “the ordinary means chosen by God to infuse in us a mysterious participation in God’s own inner life.” What a gift–these ordinary means by which God gives the grace to live in his family and through which his merciful love flows.

What is The Big Picture?
THE BIG PICTURE is our all parish formation program. All adults, parents, teens, and children are invited to learn about the big picture story of the faith and the life God wants to share with us.
At parish wide, in-person sessions of THE BIG PICTURE, adults receive formation apart from the children. The teaching is engaging and informative, geared at helping our adult parishioners understand better what the Church teaches, so that they may believe it more ardently and live it more fully.
For families who participated in Family of Faith last year, know that the format is the same but the name is new when you go to register! Learn more about participating as a family.
School children at Blessed Trinity and St. John will receive The Big Picture curriculum in school, but it will be more powerful if parents are learning alongside their children and growing alongside them in the home. To empower school parents in doing so, they are highly encouraged to attend the all parish in-person sessions.
The Big Picture 2025 - 2026 Calendar
Parish Wide, In-Person Sessions have three monthly options:
Sundays, 8:45am - 10:15am at St. John the Baptist, Waunakee
Sundays, 5:30 - 6:55pm at St. John the Baptist, Waunakee
